  3. =======     This is less a strictly hypertext term and more a
  4. WHAT IS     typical computer term referring to the way most computer
  5. A FILE?     operating systems store information. Files always have
  6. =======     names which the user employs to bring up the information
  7.             stored in the computer.

  9. ========    In this hypertext system, file names are enclosed within
  10. ANGLE       angle brackets, which often includes a description or
  11. BRACKETS    label identifying the content of the file, for example:
  12. AND         <3A263A3 LINK>. Information in the file can be accessed
  13. LABELS      from the screen at the point where the bracketed files
  14. ========    appear <3A263A2 INVOKE>. The term "file" can be used
  15.             interchangeably with the term "node." <3A263A4 NODE>
